Safe Space Policy
All Good Lookin' South gigs have a safe space policy to ensure that the show is enjoyable and a safe environment for everyone. This means that it is a space free from negative actions and behaviour where everyone can feel welcomed and respected. Making this space positive is everyone’s responsibility. With that in mind, we've developed a few simple rules that should be covered by common sense, but unfortunately need stating every now and again:
- No racism
- No sexism
- No homophobia
- No ableism
- No transphobia
- No cops (on or off duty)
- No agressive behaviour (verbal or physical)
- Don't be a dick
- Be nice or fuck off
That's not exhaustive, if you can think of anything else we should add, please get in touch. If you're at a Good Lookin' South gig and feel that anyone is making you feel uncomfortable it is everyone's responsibility to put that right, but if you don't feel able to, give one of us on the door a shout and we will act as mediators. Don't worry, we're always happy to remove anyone swinging their privlege around from the environment so that the gig can be enjoyed by the widest possible cross section of individuals.
If you're making anyone feel uncomfortable through your words or actions, you are not welcome and WILL be asked to leave, no refunds, no apologies, just the door hitting you on the arse on the way out.
It's not that much to ask, is it?
