Social Schism - A Conflicting Mass Of Media Misinformation Fuck yeah!  Straight up punk mixing up 80s US hardcore with some ferocious anarchist and anti-fascist lyrics across eight tracks in just over a quarter of an hour.  Thundering along at full pelt with a few samples and chunks from live performances until about half way through when suddenly, surprise dub reminiscent of Inner Terrestrials in the form of They Shall Not Pass (no prizes for guessing what that’s about), and then kicking back in with more of the same angry, no nonsense hardcore punk fucking rock. Brighton gigs: September 2011 to January 2012

September then, as far as I remember it was warmer than the summer, and filled with amazing gigs in and out of Brighton.  Starting things off was an Brighton Anti-Fascists benefit gig at The Cowley Club headlined by China Shop Bull who were quite something.  Mashing up a bit of drum’n’bass with punk isn’t a hugely original idea, but it is one that few have done well.  These guys certainly know how to party anyway, coming up somewhere between Goldie Lookin’ Chain and Mouthwash - they even played a drum’n’bass cover of The Dead Kennedys, purists will complain, but I...
