Creeping Stupidity (the day the racists came to town)

The day started bright and early yesterday (by a Sunday's standards) when we arrived in Brighton city centre at half eleven in order to counter-demonstrate against the 'March for England' (who are basically the EDL in a bad wig). Safe Spaces at shows

If you've ever been to a Good Lookin' South gig, or before that, a Born Free? DIY gig, you may have noticed a bit of paper on the table by the door (not the one with the door tax on it, or the piles of unsold zines) with a few suggestions on how to, and how not to act.  That would be our safe space policy, or to use it's alternative name, the "Don't be a Dick" policy. Oppose the March for England in Brighton

This April the March for England, which is essentially the EDL, except with a few people who have been thrown out of the EDL and a guise of patriotism, will be returning to Brighton for a day of racism, homophobia and probably accusations of paedophilia, as is their form.  They will be in Brighton on 22nd April (that's the Sunday of the Punx Picnic if you can only remember dates relative to gigs), and there will be a sizeable anti-fascist presence throughout the day to oppose them at every turn.
